Mauer Sports Nutrition is a startup health food company that sells protein bars, collagen shots, and weight management bars. They launched in 2015 — about two years prior to when I started working for them in October of 2017.
The company had been struggling to pick up online sales traction. In short, my job was to bring e-commerce to life. From social media maestro to email copywriter to web developer, a plethora of digital hats were worn. But first things first, the website needed a makeover.

I chose to begin with writing new copy for the “About Us” page. In doing so, I gained a thorough understanding for the Mauer Sports Nutrition brand, which enabled the remaining steps to flow seamlessly.

The previous website appeared outdated. Aesthetics aside, the tagline failed to communicate Kenny Mauer’s philosophy — he cares about ingredients.
